An introverted teenage girl, Taylor, possesses unusual superpowers. She goes out at night dressed as a superhero to escape from her very unhappy and unpromising ordinary life. During her first attempt at dealing with a supervillain, she is mistaken for one of them, which plunges her into a maelstrom of local "cape" (superman) community politics, with their unwritten rules and ambiguous morals. At the risk of his life, Taylor finds himself in a difficult position, guided by the right principles, but doing the wrong thing.
