Before you, dear reader, is the book of the famous spiritual writer, inhabitant of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, archimandrite Tikhon (Agrikov). In a difficult time for the Holy Church, Father Tikhon became a bright light of Orthodoxy, an experienced confessor, a brilliant preacher who turned the hearts of many to true faith. By the will of the authorities of this century, the priest had to endure many sorrows and trials, leave the Lavra, live in wanderings in remote parts of the country. But even from there he wrote to spiritual children, with constant wisdom answering their most difficult and burning questions.
