Permitin Efim Nikolaevich (27.12.1895 [6.01.1896] - 18.04.1971), writer. Born in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semipalatinsk province. in the family of a cabinet-maker. He began his working life early. Externally passed exams for a teacher's seminary, was a teacher in Altai villages. Member of the first world and civil wars. Since 1921 he has been engaged in literary activities. The first major work is the story "Claws" (1931), which depicts the fate of the Siberian peasantry. Permitin is the author of the books "Trap" (1930), "Enemy" (1933) and "Love" (1937), which later compiled a large novel about the Russian village - "Mountain Eagles" (1951). The novel "Spring Streams" (1955) tells about young people who have conquered the Siberian steppe for centuries untouched.
