The book publishes the works of the outstanding Russian statesman, writer and journalist Prince Vladimir Petrovich Meshchersky. His work became an important component of the national ideology of the Russian state. A consistent opponent of liberalism and nihilism, Meshchersky created the newspaper "Citizen," which became the think tank of the national Russian forces, where programs and demands were developed in the interests of the Russian people. Meshchersky's political views were a synthesis of Slavophilism and protection. He advocated strengthening the role of the state and the Russian national elite and ousting liberal and socialist elements from the state apparatus. The leaders of the Black Hundred considered Meshchersky their forerunner, it was not for nothing that in 1905 he became one of the leaders of the Union of Russian People. In this edition, many of Meshchersky's works are published for the first time after 1917.
