Principles of construction and functioning of technical means of automatic protection of mine electrical equipment against emergency and dangerous states, including states of phase-to-phase short circuit, arc fault, current overload, current leakage to ground are considered. Promising directions for improving the circuitry of protective devices are highlighted.
