Rostopchins have been known in Russia since the 15th century. They began to serve the Moscow sovereigns in 1432, faithfully fulfilling their duty for several centuries. At the same time, representatives of the clan did not occupy high posts and are not known for special achievements in history - until the end of the 18th century. In the first half of the 19th century, several names that glorified the surname were lit in this dynasty. Rostopchins are an old count and noble family with an easily determined origin. The Rostopchins family tree did not have much branching, but representatives of the family left a history in themselves for centuries. First of all, this applies, of course, to Fyodor Vasilyevich Rostopchin. The genus is included in the V and VI parts of the genealogy book of the Moscow and Novgorod provinces.
