Nuclear fallout has wiped out all life on the planet, except for a few thousand people holed up in underground bunkers around the globe. And now, after a long thirteen years, we have finally been able to return to the surface and begin to rebuild. We thought we were alone. We've never been so wrong. Before the fallout, scientists worked on the creation of an anti-radiation vaccine (ARV). The first two attempts failed, but despite unfinished tests and disappointing results, the government approved and distributed a third serum to the masses, aiming to help those who were homeless. And it worked. The vaccine kept those who remained at the top alive, but they changed and mutated. This new and contagious threat completely outnumbered us. Now we need to not only rebuild our planet. We're going to have to fight for her. My name is Abigail Park. I am seventeen years old and this is my story.
