The book analyzes modern ship energy systems, including full electric propulsion systems for surface ships and submarines. Approaches to construction of different types of electric propulsion systems are considered and systematized. Much attention is paid to the key components of full electric propulsion systems, in particular, energy sources - diesel engines, steam and gas turbines, batteries, non-traditional energy sources, electric generators, propulsion motors, and a controlled electric drive.
