On an ordinary summer night in Stockholm, in one of the rooms of a cheap apartment building, they found the body of a shot girl. The flashing lights of police cars woke up former law enforcement officer Leo Juncker, who lives three floors above. Rather, out of habit, he went down to the crime scene - and saw a cheap pendant on a chain in the hand of the murdered woman. To Juncker's dismay, he recognised him immediately.
