Burge's book is of some interest due to the abundant factual material collected in it on the international monopolistic unions of capitalists. Burge, the assistant attorney general of the United States, while serving as chief of the antitrust division of the Department of Justice, had the opportunity, as he writes, to collect irrefutable facts from the materials of surveys conducted by Congress and the charges brought by the Department of Justice in the so-called antitrust trials. Thus, the facts outlined in the book have literally documentary value.
