The physical principles of operation and the basis for the construction of optoelectronic devices (OEP) are outlined. Typical OEP nodes are described: optical radiation sources and receivers, optical systems, image analyzers, scanning systems, modulators. Methods of receiving optical signals, generalized OEP structural diagrams and methods of separating signals from objects observed against the background of interference are considered.
