"Newspaper of the Volga-Tatar Legion "Idel-Ural" (Tatar legion? atnalq g? zit? se or Wolgatatarische Zeitung "Idel-Ural"), published regularly from November 15, 1942 once a week, usually on four pages, but in some cases eight-page (double) or six-page numbers were issued... Volga-Tatar Legion (Legion "Idel-Ural") (German Wolgatatarische Legion, German Legion Idel-Ural, tat. Idel-Ural Legions,? del-Ural Legion?) - a division of the Wehrmacht, consisting of representatives of the Volga peoples (mainly from the Tatars, and from other peoples of the Bashkirs, Chuvashs, Mari, Mordovians, Udmurts). Organizationally subordinate to the Headquarters of the Command of the Eastern Legions (German Kommando der Ostlegionen). Volga-Tatar legionnaires were part of 7 reinforced field battalions (about 40 thousand people).
