Books is an edition of Max Weber's epochal work "Economy and Society." This is the first full translation into Russian. Volume I describes the basic concepts of understanding sociology in general, formulates the principles of economic sociology, gives a brief outline of the sociology of domination (in particular, charismatic and bureaucratic types of domination) and outlines ways to develop a new concept of social structure and social stratification for its time. The chapters included in Volume II demonstrate the formation of structures of rationality that regulate the action of communities at different stages of historical development. Domestic community, oikos, ethnic and political entities, in particular parties and states, are considered. Of particular note is the huge chapter on religious communities, which is essentially a condensed essay on the sociology of Weber's religion.
