The novel tells about the struggle against the enemies of the Soviet regime, led by members of the Galich family. In the first part of the book - "June is a hot month" - the founder of the dynasty, Semyon, has to enter into a difficult and selfless battle to eradicate political banditry in Ukraine. Well, his grandson needs to solve a strange at first glance murder - after all, the victim has no obvious enemies. Suspicions disappear one after another, the matter becomes more and more complicated. And could it be otherwise, because the clue lies in the years long gone...
