The articles published in the collection publish new materials and studies on the socio-economic and ethnocultural aspects of the formation of the East Slavic community. The articles also examine the contacts of ancient Slavic tribes with Western neighbors and nomads. Studies cover the period from the turn of our era to the Old Russian state.
