In the summer of 1942 - winter of 1943 large-scale battles unfolded in the south of the USSR, on the outcome of which the outcome of the Great Patriotic War and the fate of the country as a whole depended. This study, based on archival and published documents and field materials, offers a new look at the events that took place on the southern wing of the Soviet-German front. The focus of the authors is the supply of Lend-Lease along the "Persian corridor" and battles in the great bend of the Don, battles in the North Caucasus and the Battle of Stalingrad. The work contains a significant number of maps, illustrations, photographs.
