Three years have passed since the book "In Search of the Heroes of the Brest Fortress" was first published in our publishing house. During this time, the author of the book, writer S. S. Smirnov and the publishing house received many letters. The story of the Brest Fortress and its heroes found a wide response in the hearts of readers not only in our country, but also abroad. The letters helped to reproduce many still unknown episodes of defense, to find out the fate of the heroes - participants in this heroic epic. So more and more pages appeared in the book. Now the book about the heroes of the Brest Fortress is published in a more complete form. It consists of two parts. The first tells about the historical past of the Brest Fortress and the events that unfolded in the first days of the war. The second part tells about the fate of the participants in the defense.
