In the Treatise on Fire and Salt, Blaise de Vigenère continues to develop the tradition of alchemical Kabbalah Paracelsus, which had a significant impact on the entire subsequent European Hermetic Philosophy. This Kabbalah became the key to the interpretation of the new alchemical theory, introduced into scientific circulation by Blaise de Vigener together with Heinrich Kunrath (1560-1605) and Michael Mayer (1568-1622). This book also shows an invisible connection between holy scripture and hermetic knowledge, which is constantly traced in the course of reading the treatise. It is no coincidence that many hermetic authors argued that a number of books from holy scripture can be explained as purely alchemical and especially the Pentateuch. Is there any reason to say so, to judge our reader. But in any case, the reader will discover here many interesting and useful judgments and ideas.
