The author's monograph from Czechoslovakia sets out a systematic approach to the design of multi-storey buildings, explores the relationship between their space-planning layout and rational design solutions. The structures of the main elements of high-rise buildings are considered: frame, floor, external walls, stairs, etc. The most important problem of designing high-rise structures was investigated - ensuring spatial rigidity. The latest engineering and technical systems are considered, with suspended, floors, tube, etc.
