The work describes devices in which capacitors are used. The goals, basic principles of creation and characteristics of artificial accumulators of electric energy are briefly described. Application of capacitors in capacitive energy storage of current and voltage pulse generators is considered, as well as the main areas of their application. Information is given on the use of capacitors as an element with frequency-dependent reactance for filtering, phase-shifting circuits of low and high-current electronic and electrical devices, as well as on specific applications of capacitors - as a heater of dielectric materials, a microphone, etc.
