The book of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of Baku State University Eldar Ismailov presented to the reader's court represents a new view of the history of Azerbaijan. It covers a huge historical period from the appearance of the first human settlements in the territory of present-day historical Azerbaijan to the restoration of independence in its northern part in 1991.
