The collection of articles is dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Peterhof fountain system - a unique hydraulic monument of the 18th century. Imperial residences were among the first to accept and include in their space most of the current technical innovations. Innovative, newest technologies at the time of implementation not only modernized the lifestyle of monarchs and their court, but for centuries remained unsurpassed examples of engineering.
