The paper examines the main problems of the worldview of the prominent representative of Sufi poetry, Jalal-ed-din Rumi, without which many key issues of political and cultural life and, especially, classical literature of the East, would remain incomprehensible. The analysis of Rumi's worldview is carried out against a wide historical background.
