The book is being published for the first time in our country. It contains several thousand Latin legal terms, expressions and their Russian counterparts, describing the basic institutions and norms of various branches of Roman and medieval law (state, civil, criminal, etc.). Many of these expressions have remained relevant to the present and are widely used in the literature. The alphabetical arrangement of phraseological units in the book is designed to facilitate the understanding of the meaning of Latin expressions, while independent work on the book allows the reader to join the Latin legal "wisdom" and expand their professional-legal, historical and general cultural horizons. The book is designed for a wide readership.
