The book will introduce the reader to an interesting family of MSP430 microcontrollers manufactured by Texas Instruments. These microcontrollers, of course, are still less popular than PIC and AVR, but can be used where it is very important to ensure minimal current consumption, for example, in equipment with low-voltage battery or battery power.
