The topics of the works that make up the manual can be defined, firstly, as "reasoning about the method" in the sciences of culture: understanding as a process of translation from the language of one culture to the language of another; about keyword research; on the hermeneutic self-reflection of science and, secondly, as the history of world culture: the study of the phenomena of spiritual reality in their temporal concreteness and, at the same time, in the widest context; an analysis of how the past of culture is seen in its present, and the present is already contained in the past.
