The work of the military historian, Lieutenant General Vasily Potto was prepared for the fiftieth anniversary of the Nikolaev Cavalry School. The purpose of the work was to note the main facts of the development of the School, to convey the names of the chiefs and former pupils who brought glory to the fatherland. The "historical essay" was published with public funds and is dedicated to all former pupils.
