The collection "From the History of Kazakhs" presents materials little known to a wide circle of readers covering the history of Kazakhs of different times. Russian historians tell in detail about the period of colonization of Kazakhstan by Russia, arguing their narrative with documents, eyewitness accounts and personal observations. The collection includes historical essays by P. P. Semenov-Tianshansky, Sven Gedin, P. R. Galuso, O. A. Igelstrom, excerpts from the "Collection of legalizations on the Kyrgyz of the steppe regions," reviews of the Semnrechensky, Akmola regions 1894-1895, prepared by employees of the tsarist administration, and other materials.
