The work is devoted to the actual, but far from fully covered in special literature, especially domestic, the problem of diagnosis and treatment of dry eye syndrome. It contains detailed information regarding the etiology, pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of this disease, its classification developed by the authors is presented.
