The second edition of the reference dictionary has been substantially improved: new articles have been introduced, the bibliographic apparatus has been updated and expanded, and an index has been compiled. The book contains over 800 articles covering all areas of cultural life in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. In addition to the characteristics of monuments of literature and art, it contains facts of the life and work of figures of ancient culture, as well as the interpretation of its main terms and concepts. The dictionary includes a summary of historical events and mythological subjects of the ancient world.
