Lidia Anatolyevna Budogoskaya (1898-1984) - Soviet writer, prose writer, member of the Union of Writers of the USSR. She made her debut in literature with her autobiographical "The Story of a Red Girl" (1929). The story largely reflects the difficult years of childhood and courage in Zlatoust. S. Ya. Marshak reacted favorably to the experiments of Budogoskaya's work, and from under the pen of a novice writer, books come out one by one: "Nurses" (1931), "Zerovki" (1932), "How Sanka was brought to the hearth" (1933), "The Tale of the Lantern" (1936), "Sentry" (1947), repeatedly reprinted. Almost all of her books were illustrated and designed by brother E. Budogosky. From the first days of World War II, the editor of the children's magazine "Chizh" Lidia Budogoskaya again became a nurse at a military hospital in Leningrad. After the war, she lived there, combining literary work with work in the health institutions of the city on the Neva.
