The book is simple and accessible, but at the same time exhaustively tells about the sacrament of Repentance. According to the Holy Fathers, repentance is a covenant with God to correct life. The sources of sin, the development of sinful skills and their consequences are described in detail; spiritual advice is given on repentance and correction of life. The foundation of the book is the creations of the Holy Fathers. At the end of the book is the word of St. Ignatius (Bryanchaninov) about the sacrament of the Eucharist - Communion.
