"The Art of Government" is a deep scientific work written by a public figure of world importance. There are four large blocks of questions in the book. First, it is a summing up of a bygone era - reflections on the lessons of the Cold War, the past and current role of the United States. Secondly, an assessment of the development paths of Russia, China, India and the countries of the Far and Middle East. Thirdly, the threats posed to the world by instability in the Balkans, rogue states, Islamic extremism and international terrorism, as well as strategies to counter them. And, finally, the process of integration in Europe, which carries the danger of imperceptibly expanding the power of international institutions to the detriment of the independence of nation-states.
