The work of Hilal Al-Sabi, a famous historian of the 11th century, is the only extant work dedicated to the ceremonial of the court of the Abbasid caliphates. In addition, the "Establishment and Customs of the Court of the Caliphs" contains a lot of information about the history and economy of the caliphate, ethnography and the history of the material and spiritual culture of the then society.
