Rev. Simeon the New Theologian, according to whose creations this book was compiled, with his life and creations showed for us the path that leads a person to communicate with God. And he testified that this path is narrow and regrettable; it is filled with everyday struggle with diverse passions that prevent a person from reaching the Kingdom of Heaven and salvation. However, all opportunities for transformation and salvation are given to us by Christ, who descended to earth to reconcile and combine us with God. Only our good will and trust in him is needed.
