The book is a reference manual on KARATE (SOTOKAN style). For the first time in Russia, in the literature on karate, kata are given with a detailed description of the sequences of techniques and respiratory rhythm in exact accordance with the book of Sensei Kanazawa "Shotokan Karate International - Kata" vol. 1, 2. The book contains a large amount of historical information about various styles and about outstanding masters of the past and present, as well as examination programs for SHOTOKAN in three versions: JKA (Japanese Karate Association), WSKF (World SHOTOKAN Federation) and SKI (International Karate Federation SHOTOKAN).
