An ordinary Russian teenager squib, unaware of the magical world, lives his own life. At the same moment, in one of the worlds, the archimage sends its emblems to parallel worlds. One of the emblems is instilled in the student's body, but, failing to capture it, it self-destructs. As a result, the teenager gets some of the magician's knowledge.
