A blue planet with occasional bands of clouds slowly turns in front of me. Over the largest of the oceans, the first signs of an approaching storm are visible. After a couple of days, it will hit the coast of America to break powerlessly on man-made dams. Although the sun has not yet risen over the mainland, all of North America is covered with a scattering of luminous dots, but the outline of the southern continent is barely distinguishable.
