A brochure in a popular form describes how various quantities are measured at a distance. Principles of operation and arrangement of simple sensors converting measured value into electric signals are described. Methods of transmitting telemetry signals by radio, methods of recording and processing them at the receiving side are explained. The brochure is designed for persons who do not have special training. When writing it, materials from an open domestic and foreign press were used.
