The textbook reflects the main issues of psychiatry of wars and disasters, describes the medical-psychological and psychiatric consequences of modern disasters, emergencies and armed conflicts, notes the peculiarities of people's mental health in extreme living conditions, as well as the occurrence, formation and course of mental disorders in various categories of victims and wounded. The issues of organizing medical, psychological and psychiatric care in armed conflicts and emergencies are outlined.
