The work is the first experience of a detailed biographical sketch of Ivan Sergeyevich Aksakov (1823-1886), the youngest son of S. T. Aksakov, a prominent representative of the Aksakov family, famous in Russian literature and intellectual history, "the last of the" fathers "of Slavophile teaching, in the words of Fr. Joseph Fudel. The originality and power of I. S. Aksakov's personality appears against the background of contemporaries, primarily other representatives of the Slavophile circle, each of which was an original, extraordinary talent. The appendix contains letters from I. S. Aksakov to his bride (A. F. Tyutcheva) and to the outstanding Russian historian and public figure M. O. Koyalovich.
