The book is devoted to the history and culture of civilizations of pre-Columbian America from the penetration of primitive tribes into the territory of the New World to the conquest of Central and South America by the Spanish conquistadors. An attempt was made to collect, systematize and present in a manner accessible to the reader of school and college age numerous foreign and domestic publications on the history of pre-Columbian America.
