This edition is a reference guide to classical and applied celestial mechanics. It differs significantly from the first edition, which was published in 1971. In this edition, a new part (part IX) has been introduced, dedicated to the movement of celestial bodies near the center of mass. Other sections of celestial mechanics, covering the theory of unperturbed and perturbed movements of celestial bodies, analytical, numerical and qualitative methods, are significantly expanded and supplemented. The new presentation presents part VI, devoted to the theory of motion of artificial Earth satellites and the theory of the Earth's gravitational field, the theory of motion of the Moon and high-quality celestial mechanics, which make up the content of part X.
