This book is devoted to little-studied aspects of the church history of the 20th century - the Josephite movement, one of the movements in the Russian Orthodox Church of the legal and semi-legal anti-Sergian opposition, which opposed the actual subordination of the Church to the state. The book uses materials from historical and party archives and also from the archives of repressive bodies. Detailed biographical materials of hierarchs, priests, monks are given. The book is intended for specialists in modern history, church historians, as well as for everyone who is interested in the domestic past.
