The history of Russian costume began in ancient times. The clothes of the Slavic tribes inhabiting the lands of Russia looked far from fabulous. Homespun or leather shirts of rough cut and sewn with thick veins of animals or fleecy hemp threads. But over time, clothes became more diverse and beautiful.
