The book tells about the most interesting subtropical plants brought from different continents and successfully cultivated in the Crimea and the Caucasus. Among them are such unusual plants as strawberry and candy trees, Japanese medlar, etc. Using their example, the author introduces readers to some of the basic provisions of botany, with the possibilities of further replenishing the assortment and economic use of subtropical plants.
