The book includes essays and articles on the formation and development of the science of religion. Without pretending to systematically present the history of religious studies, the author sought to outline some of its significant milestones, while paying attention to the development of problems of interdisciplinary importance and primarily related to the study of folklore, ancient philosophy and laughter culture.
