The book tells about the unique monuments of wooden architecture - residential, household and commercial buildings of the old village, collected in open-air museums-reserves created on the territory of the RSFSR, as well as about the continuity of architectural and construction traditions, about ways to preserve cultural heritage, about the architecture of a modern village.
