The monograph provides a unified description of the main properties of natural waves of regular inhomogeneous anisotropic waveguides of various physical nature. The study is carried out within the framework of an abstract mathematical model of a linear waveguide system. Most attention is paid to the case when the set of eigenwaves is determined by the spectral problem for a quadratic operator beam.
