The educational publication, written by teachers of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, Moscow State University, presents a short course in organic chemistry, including information on the structure, methods of production, properties and use of the main classes of organic compounds. The features of the mechanisms of the most important organic reactions (nucleophilic substitution, elimination, etc.) are considered.
